Prices

It’s easy to work out the price of one of our covers based on the pricing below.

You need to know:-

  • Is your motor a 2 or 4 stroke? (sometimes called a 2 or 4 cycle). If you put oil in a separate tank this is a 2 stroke outboard. A 4 stroke outboard is like your car, it does not smoke & no oil is added to the fuel.
  • The HP of your motor.
  • The type of cover you want.

You can select a custom image from the web or your own collection & upload it on our order form. (©Copyright may apply)
You can type in text & specify font, as example your boat name and font type required.
You can select black OR white print (block color) or full-color printing. We can print pretty much anything on our covers if we have the correct artwork. See below for more information.
You can have the horsepower printed on the rear for a small fee.

Artwork must be supplied for color printing where the custom file is required or Black or White if anything other than a word or boat name is required. If word/boat name you must nominate a font or we will use our standard which is IMPACT on a slant. If you want a fish printed on your cover/s you will need to provide us the fish in high quality. In other words it must be ready to print and need no additional work needed doing to it. The file format should be either of these in number preference:
1. EPS (Layered vector) or
2. PDF (Layered PDF not a BMP or JPG saved as PDF) or
3. BMP or JPEG.

The file would need to be a minimum of 150K (when attached to e-mail it tells you the size of the image) so most internet pictures are not suitable….but there are good ones if you hunt for them. Just remember the common logos used by movie companies, well known logos are all Trademarked ™ /  © Copyrighted which does not give you the right to use that logo.

I am just about to order my second cover for my Honda which has been on the motor since 2003 and is starting to look a little ratty.

The material is still intact so is the stitching which I think unbelievable especially with the Kimberley weather. The Engine cowling still looks like new thanks to this product.

This is the best value for money item I have ever purchased for my boat.

Extreme Angler – Texas Fishing Forum

I want to share some photos of the Outboard Covers of America “Splash Cover” I got for my 200 Mercury ProXS a few weeks back. I wanted to have it on the motor for a while before posting a review. I’m not one to show off my material things. But, I had a hard time finding photos of this brand on bass boats so hopefully this will help someone down the road when they are shopping for a motor cover.

These things are expensive, more expensive than some of the more well-known brands like Tuff Skinz. However, I can also tell you that the OCA cover fits tighter, looks better, and is not likely to leave any rub marks like the Tuff Skinz will (my motor already has some rub rash from the previous owner who had a Tuff Skinz on it).

The cover itself is very snug, to the point that it is difficult to install by yourself, and the elastic band at the bottom of the cover hugs the bottom of the motor cowling in a way that it does not ride-up over time. An added benefit to this grip point is that it does not cover up the trim button on the side of the engine. There is a small Velcro strap at the front of the cover that is little more than a comfort thing; It fits so snugly that I don’t think it is even necessary.

I paid extra for the Mercury decals because I think the boat looks better with them. That’s just me; I paid a lot of money for this boat and I’m not going to put something on it that I don’t like looking at. Unfortunately, these decals are not readily available so message me for details if that’s something you would want. I am not a representative or affiliated with OCA in any way, but I can get you in touch with someone who is if you want those decals.

In summary, the OCA is a very high quality product. It is expensive, but I do believe it is a better product than its less expensive competition. And, I did get blown into a gnarly tree while landing a fish about a week after I got it that would have certainly chewed up the side of my bare cowling; I just dusted off the wood chips from the cover and it looks like nothing ever happened.

Pro XZAbout price

As of Jan 2016 OCA have invested in automated fabric cutting machines (CNC) and have purchased x2 large format printers so we have reduced our pricing to be very competative (if not beat any competitors price).

Why not Vinyl?

People also ask what is wrong with using vinyl or a padded vinyl won’t that stop the noise more and offer more protection?

Yes it MAY but as it is not breathable it will cause moisture to build up under both the cowl and cover. This will corrode the motor and damage the paint and decals.

Most people are not aware that a replacement cowl is extremely expensive and if new decals are required these are usually extra and can cost as much as one of our Splash covers.

This is typically what would happen if you made your outboard cover out of a material that does not have breathability such as vinyl or even neoprene which is used on wet suits. They do not have what Polysoft® has!

Latest Testimonial

A brief note on my experience with Geoff and Leanne Felgate’s company, Outboard Covers & Accessories (a.k.a. Outboard Covers Australia) as per www.outboardcovers.com.au.

I whole heartedly recommend Outboard Covers Australia. Although their website does the job, I still prefer to order via phone and I am glad to say Geoff has answered the phone every time I have called. What more do you want? I have sold the Quintrex and now own a Sirocco RIB with a Honda F20; neat, fast and fun and now with a new cover for my new engine.
